July 2025 New open call projects

The new open call projects that are supported by the SSC from July 2025 - June 2026 have been selected. Many very high-quality proposals have been submitted, and after technical and scientific review, six projects will be realized:

• Processing pipeline for Early Chinese Periodicals Online, Digital Humanities, Heidelberg Centre for Transcultural Studies (Matthias Arnold)
• Dynamic inference batching for machine-learned kinetic energy functionals in orbital-free DFT, Machine Learning, Scientific AI/Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (Fred Hamprecht)
• Image alignment workflow for volume microscopy datasets, Biology, Centre for Organismal Studies (Sandra Jasek)
• Neuronal sequencer for computational neurosciences, Medicine, Neurophysiology UMM (Andrey Formozov)
• Genome processing pipeline including single-cell chromatin accessibility, Life Sciences, Centre for Organismal Studies (Lauren Saunders)
• Content analysis of large-N video/image/text datasets, Political Sciences, Institute for political sciences (Delia Dumitrescu)
