New de-RSE position paper on establishing RSE departments

The German association of Research Software Engineers de-RSE e.V. published a new position paper. The article urges decision makers at German research institutions to build dedicated groups to provide RSE support to researchers. It describes service components of such RSE departments and pathways to their establishment. The Scientific Software Center is presented as a national pioneering example. The position paper has undergone multiple rounds of community review within the de-RSE association and is already adopted as an official position of the association.
