bw RSE4HPC
We support scientific groups across Baden-Württemberg in developing and scaling their research software for use on the region’s high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure. Efficiently utilizing the diverse HPC landscape in Baden-Württemberg can be challenging for many university groups. In collaboration with the KIT, we offer assistance in improving existing code in terms of performance, efficiency and maintainability, or even in developing new software for the use on the HPC infrastructure.
Bio-Structure Hub
The Bio-Structure Hub offers a variety of services and resources in the field of computational structural biology, aimed at scientists at Heidelberg research insitutions. We aid in the setup and use of structure prediciton models, as well as the interpretation of their predictions.
Data Science Unit
The Data Science Unit at the SSC provides specialized support to researchers seeking to enhance their work through machine learning and data science techniques. Our services span the full spectrum of research support—from developing machine learning solutions from the ground up, to refining existing models and pipelines, to offering targeted consultations on specific challenges. Project scope can range from a few hours to multiple months, funded via our open-Call or through external funding.
These services are offered in close collaboration with the bwRSE4HPC and Bio-Structure Hub subunits, as well as the core SSC team to ensure tailored support for data-driven research projects.
