July 2023New open call projects

The new open call projects that are supported by the SSC from July 2023 - June 2024 have been selected. Many very high-quality proposals have been submitted, and after technical and scientific review, five projects will be realized:

• Identification of cultural artefacts, Cultural Anthropology, Heidelberg Centre for Transcultural Studies (Christiane Brosius)
• Performance enhancement of SIMPA code (biophotonic imaging), Medicine, German Cancer Research Center (Kris Dreher)
• User interface and integration of automated cell annotation package CebraEM, Biology, Center of Molecular Biology (Anne Schlaitz)
• Software Engineering best practices for ray tracing and telescope models, Astrophysics, Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing/Centre for Astronomy (Tobias Buck)
• Modernizing of legacy code for synthetic spectra, Astrophysics, Centre for Astronomy (Andreas Sander)
